What is the Most Important Question?
Posted on August 5th, 2009 No commentsThroughout life we are confronted with questions. There is one question that towers over them all. And one question we will all answer to. What is the most important question? The most important question each of us needs to ask is: “Are we right with God?” God has given us this time on earth to repent of our sins and restore our relationship to Him. None of us are perfect and none of us can make it to Heaven on our own goodness or through good deeds. God has presented us with an opportunity to come back to Him and has outlined the only way to do so. There is one way to God. John 14:6 spells it out: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The way to restore our relationship with God is to admit our sinful nature, confess our sins and accept Jesus and his free gift of salvation. Not believing will not get you out of the hot seat. You and I are all going to face God. My prayer is that God’s truth and God’s will spreads throught the land so His people might be saved. One of the best Bakersfield Churches I’ve ever attended (It’s actually my favorite of all churches I’ve ever attended) is Valley Baptist Church. The preaching is excellent. Pastors Roger Spradlin and Phil Neighbors are both fantastic preachers. Roger Spradlin is the main Sunday morning pastor and Phil Neighbors is the main Sunday evening pastor.
